How To Get Backlinks

Everyone knows that the best way to get free traffic to your website is from the search engines. After all, when you need to find something on the web, don't you yourself go to search engines to find it? But in order for other people to find your website, you need to have your website ranked well in the search engines. And these days, the only way to make this happen is to get backlinks, especially lots of relevant backlinks, to your website.

Of course, you already know how important backlinks are for SEO, and that's why you're reading this page. So what are the best ways to get backlinks. There are several methods that work, if you can afford the time or the money. These methods include the following:

Article Marketing
With this well known technique, you write articles of approximately 500 words each and submit them to article directories. With each article you can include author bio information containing a link to your website. As article directories start to accept your article, you get backlinks to your website. For good article directories like ezinearticles.com, it is not uncommon for your article page to rank on the front page of Google for your main keywords, at least for a week or two. So this technique does indeed work, but these days it really takes at least 10 articles, and usually closer to 50 articles, to be really successful. This can take a great deal of time and effort.

Commenting on Forums
Whatever the niche of your website, you can usually find forums where you can participate in a discussion. Every time you post, you can include a link back to your website in your signature. Forum links can be useful as backlinks, but again these take time to accumulate.

Commenting on Blogs
Just like for forums, you can usually find blogs where you can leave comments. Unfortunately, many blog owners will only accept some comments, and usually the blog links will have the "no-follow" attribute, making them useless for SEO value on Google.

Link Exchanges
Many people try link exchange techniques in order to get links from related websites. This technique used to work reasonably well, but the search engines now discount reciprocal links. Getting one way links is much more valuable, but is also much harder to do. Most website owners now know that reciprocal links are not very valuable, so most of the time your attempts to email webmasters with link exchange offers will be a waste of time.

Purchase Links
You can also try to buy links from link brokers. This can work if the search engines don't catch you, but the search engines do not want people to purchase links and Google actively encourages people to report purchased links. Even when this technique works, it can get very expensive to buy individual links.

Yes, There IS A better Way!
The above list gives you a good idea of the standard approaches to getting backlinks. The problem is that each of these approaches is either horribly time consuming (and boring) or horribly expensive.

Fortunately there is a better way to get backlinks. I developed the Neurolinker system to solve the problem of getting backlinks, especially relevant backlinks, once and for all. With Neurolinker, all you need to do is to add your site to the network of 1400 other websites, and Neurolinker automatically finds other relevant sites in the system to link to yours. Neurolinker sets up a link network so that relevant sites link together and all links are one way links, not reciprocal links. Neurolinker also has an article system that lets you submit unique articles to other sites in the system and get backlinks from within your articles on other websites. And, Neurolinker now includes a social bookmarking system that lets users get permanent one way links from social bookmarking sites by helping others to bookmark their websites.

The Neurolinker system solves the major problem facing website owners, namely how to get backlinks. More backlinks to your site means better search engine rankings and more website traffic.
